WA-CHAA! is the universal sound effect for action in kung fu, connecting to our rich history as a brand originally founded under the name of kung fu master Huang Fei Hong. It is also a mission statement. It symbolizes a punch. To the face.
Huang Fei Hong has two legacies: kung fu, and the peanuts bearing his name. If you’ve watched any kung fu movie, there’s a good chance you watched a movie about Huang Fei Hong. He has been immortalized in over 100 films the world over. He is both a folk legend and a real person. A physician and a kung fu master, meaning he could both fix you and break you. He was an expert in Hung Ga kung fu, and famed for creating the No-Shadow Kick technique. While some stories of him are likely exaggerated, they aren’t.
WA-CHAA! is proudly grown and packaged in China with exceptional quality and discernment. Our peanuts come from the famed peanut growing region of Shandong. Our peppercorns and chili peppers (known locally as mala spice) are a famed flavor of Sichuan. Our North American enterprises are officed in California. Fan mail for any of our stars can be sent there and will be forwarded to the appropriate parties.
Huang Fei Hong has been a beloved product across Asia for decades, but with limited distribution to the United States. WA-CHAA! is the continuation of that lineage, remastered and renamed for a new time and place. Which is why we say “Huang Fei Hong presents: WA-CHAA!” to pay tribute to the decades old brand as we arrive on new shores.

You speak of the forbidden ingredient. While we firmly believe that MSG is a worthy ingredient, we acknowledge that many fear it. To honor local customs and traditions we’ve not added any MSG to WA-CHAA! instead matching the unique umami flavor through a precise blend of mushroom powders.
No. We do not allow GMOs to taint our honor.
Sichuan peppercorns create a distinct and famous “numbing” effect on the tongue. This is normal. Unless it’s not normal. In which case you may be allergic to peanuts.
Savory Shandong peanuts and a blend of sichuan peppercorns and chilis. It's a popular snack in many parts of Asia and the world. You will soon know as well.
WA-CHAA! isn’t overly spicy. But if you like bland foods, or do not like spicy foods, you will be disappointed, and we likewise will be disappointed. The heat from the chili peppers and the numbing effect of Sichuan peppercorns give it a bold and pleasant flavor, with a little kick.
It is certainly noticeably spicier, and some may prefer to use it as an ingredient, topping, or with water nearby. Others may simply love the extra kick. It is not so spicy that you will film yourself eating it to gain respect and prove your worthiness.
WA-CHAA! is often enjoyed as a high-protein snack on its own, paired with beer or water, or used as an ingredient. It can be used in Chinese cooking, as a topping for dishes for an added crunch and spice, or to bring flavor to otherwise unworthy foods.
Along with peanuts, we also process soybean, sesame, fish, and shellfish. If you are severely allergic to any of these, be warned that this product is a deadly weapon.

Much like the stories of Huang Fei Hong, and kung fu cinema itself, some parts are fictional and some are real. This site is a blend of real photography and video, and AI imagery and video. The characters on this site are based upon the real Huang Fei Hong. Any resemblance to other characters or individuals is purely coincidental. All martial arts performed by AI.

So you have come to the FAQ seeking the secret of the No Shadow Kick (無影腳) of the famed Huang Fei Hong? This is a technique that relies on footwork, deception, and speed. A hidden execution rather than raw kicking prowess. You must begin in a low, rooted stance such as a Bow Stance (弓步) or a Cat Stance (貓步), with a solid foundation. The key is in the hidden step. As you shift forward, subtly reposition your rooted foot while disguising the movement with an upper-body feint, a hand strike or sudden shoulder shift, drawing your opponent’s attention upward. From this step, snap a front kick (踢腿) using the lead leg, targeting the abdomen, solar plexus, or jaw. The supporting foot now slides forward imperceptibly, allowing for an immediate follow-up kick from the same leg before it fully retracts, giving the impression of an invisible strike. Keep the knee chambered and use a spring-like motion from the hip, generating power from the waist (腰, Yāo) rather than brute force. As you master the technique you can integrate multiple kicks into a flowing sequence with minimal telegraphing, ensuring the opponent only registers the impact. Hence the name: No Shadow Kick. A strike that appears to land before it is even seen.
